XILENCE PSU

The totally new XQ power supply unit series is a complete new development. The new creeper is not a compact chump like normal but has a conical site where two 60mm fans are integrated. These is the visible part of the new Direct-Airflow-Technology that guarantees soundless work at maximum performance. Internally the cooling concept seperates the PSU in two cooling areas which are controlled by temperature sensors. If the temperature rises in one are the fan for these area starts to work slowly.

Because of the high efficieny the PSU works most of the time in soundless passive mode. The fans start to work at a last of 20-30% to support the cooling. The PSUs are a perfect solution for users that are sensitive to noise, but want to use the security of an active cooled power supply unit. A red status LED at the back of the PSU shows when the power supply unit is working – you won‘t recognize by the noise level. The modular cable management helps to organize a clean and structured inner life in the chassis.

Semi-fanless

Fanless work up to a load of 20%

The XILENCE power supplies of XQ series are cooled completely passive up to a load of about 20 per cent. The fans start to work after these limit. So the power supply is unhearable during office work.
A red LED on the back of the power supply unit informs about the operating ability, because the fans don’t rotate most of the time. By use the new cooling concept XILENCE combines the advantages of a passive cooled power supply with the stability and persistence of an active cooled power supply.

Direct Air Flow

Special PCB and chassis design for perfect airflow and cooling

The XILENCE XQ power supply series uses the Direct Air Flow Technology to offer a more efficient cooling with less noise development. By using two small 60mm fans the airflow will be focused where it is needed. The constant airflow cares for a perfect cooling in the power supply unit.
The internal design betters the cooling effect during passive cooling mode. The internal design was cleared up to better the naturally convective flow of heat. So the power supply unit works without passive cooling up to a load of 20-30%..

PCB Design

The fully modular connector PCB is directly connected with the PCB of the PSU. It helps to reduce transfer-resistances and helps to improve the efficiency of the power supply unit.

100% Modular

The XILENCE XQ PSUs 1000W / 850W and 750W are fully modular and make the cable management in the chassis very easy.
Big cable harness like the 24pin motherboard cabel are postioned on the motherboard side to have a structured cable management into the chassis.

Fans

XILENCE uses two ultra-silent fans with a diameter of 60 millimeters. They were impelled by the engines of 80 millimeter fans to increase the long-life cycle and the durable quiet running.
The depth of the fan is nearly two centimeters to offer a big listric surface that helps to work with a low rotary speed. The measure of the rotor combined with a powerful engine provides perfect controlling and reaction times.
Another advantage of the small fans is less weight. The small fans produce nearly no vibrations and no disturbing impact sound. The depth of the fans helps to reduce disturbing tweeter.

Cooling effect

If you use three or four graphic cards in one PC system the new design of the XQ series supports the airflow. There are often just few millimeters space between VGA card and power supply unit if you use a normal ATX power supply unit.
The airflow is affected massive so that the VGA combination heats extremely. The high temperatures can reduce the graphic performance or result in a breakdown of the graphics card. The heat image shows how the XQ design improves the temperatures.
